ABOUT JOHN (JV)
John Valle (or simply "JV") is a documentary style photographer, and 3D designer, based in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. John’s photographic work focuses on the changing nature of America’s industrial might, through architecture, machinery, and railroads. Showcasing the juxtaposition of what once was, and what currently is, is John’s reason to document the subjects he does. Drawing inspiration from Depression Era photographers like Walker Evans and Jack Delano, John takes pride in photographing in a clear, direct manner. He states, “I’m not the biggest fan of the ‘what you see is what you get’ mentality, but if I have to explain my work, then I have failed as an artist.”
